As a child, he dreamed of joining the elite ranks of the Aperture Science Research Institute, but his aptitude for mechanics and engineering led him down a different path. He enlisted in the Asset Containment Unit, a branch of the United Nations Space Command dedicated to protecting humanity from extraterrestrial threats.
